A fully Open GL|ES 2.0 enabled UI running on 2 x WVGA screens, using animated 3D meshes and shader effects like light sources, dynamic colors, reflections and shadows.
“Interesting concept but not sure when we could see devices with this kind of setup, what carriers, manufacturer, or time frames would be involved at this point.!!
Some of recent video released by Adobe team showing cool browsing experience with Flash Player 10.1 on Google Nexus One, you can watch the great 3d performance, different kind of websites, games, applications etc. very cool 🙂
At Mobile World Congress, NVIDIA showcases Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR on Tegra-powered tablet device. See a slick new digital magazine experience based on WIRED magazine, powered by Adobe AIR. This prototype runs across different device types with Adobe AIR and illustrates the possibilities for magazine publishers to reach readers in new ways.
“In addition, with this digital magazine concept, advertisers have new possibilities for displaying ad content. Advertisers can develop rich-media magazine “inserts” to provide expanded information to customers directly within the magazine experience — without directing the reader’s attention away to a Web site. Publishers can also offer expanded ad formats that include animation and embedded video. Finally, as is the case with most digital advertising, this new magazine concept opens the possibility for more precise advertising performance metrics beyond the comparatively crude audience measurement/ad engagement techniques in use today.”
Interesting!, i love the new digital magazine experience on tablet the way they shown it, simple and intuitive 🙂

Check out the above video to get a first-hand look at the latest Windows Phone 7 🙂
Via Adobe, They are pleased to announce a beta draft of “Optimizing Mobile Content for the Adobe Flash Platform.” Adobe provided dozens of tips and tricks for improving the performance of ActionScript applications running on mobile devices.
At Mobile World Congress, Adobe officially announced Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR for Android. I think and believe these technologies will redefine the mobile experience. Kevin Hoyt recorded a great video overview showing some demos on the Motorola Droid, which you can see. Creating seamless experience for across devices and reusing the same code is a big challenge but now with Adobe Air developers can bit relax.
“These technologies, combined with Flash CS5, will revolutionize how developers create mobile applications. It will be easy to create a single application and deploy it to the iPhone and also to other devices via Adobe AIR. You can also use the same code and assets to deliver a mobile browser version using Flash Player 10.1. Google has made a great choice partnering with Adobe and I believe consumers will benefit by being able to choose whatever type of content they want to view. ”
A new article published in Adobe Developer Connection, about Authoring mobile Flash content for multiple screen sizes. Christian Cantrell explain several techniques to help Flash developers author content that will render properly on any device, regardless of its screen resolution and pixel density.
“Adobe recently announced that Adobe Flash Professional CS5 will give Flash developers the ability to build and deploy native iPhone and iPod touch applications. As the Flash Platform continues to proliferate and reach more devices, developers need to adopt techniques for authoring with multiple screen sizes and resolutions in mind. This article discusses several techniques to help Flash developers author content that will render properly on any device, regardless of its screen resolution and pixel density. ”
Ever wonder what conceptual design actually is? Why its important?, Watch this 2-minute long clip for an introduction to concepting, why you should do it, and how to concept your application. Nicely done!
I am very happy to tell you that my i2fly logo featured in logos book under graphic section from Spain, January 2010 issue. It’s a great feeling and i’m always passionate to take my design at global level, showcased them.
It’s just a beginning . .feeling proud, a great new year ahead 🙂
Adobe Developer Connection recently published an article on new feature of Flash player 10 “Private browsing in Adobe Flash Player 10.1“. Currently the following browsers support private browsing:
Internet Explorer 8.0+
Mozilla Firefox 3.5+
Apple Safari 2.0+
Google Chrome 1.0+
Flash Player private browsing support will be enabled with a future release of Safari.!
“For times when you want to keep the sites that you visit private, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 supports the private browsing mode found in many web browsers. Private browsing lets you browse the web without storing any history on your computer. Integrating with your web browser, Flash Player 10.1 will automatically clear stored data in accordance with your browser’s private browsing settings.”
WHAT IS PRIVATE BROWSING?
Web browsers typically remember sites that you have previously visited or the name and password used for favorite sites—a history of sites that you visit—to help you quickly retrace your steps online. For occasions when you do not want other people using the same computer to see your history, many browsers offer a “private browsing” mode. When you turn on private browsing, these browsers will not remember any history, allowing you to hide your activity from other users sharing the same machine and browser.
When you use private browsing mode (during a private browsing “session”), the web browser stores several types of information only temporarily. Once you end the session, the browser will delete that data, including the record of your visit in the browser’s history, cookies, and cached image files. This keeps your browsing session private from other people that may use the same computer. This contrasts with normal browsing, where the browser remembers history that you can use even after you’ve restarted your browser.
With Flash Player 10.1 private browsing support, Flash Player will automatically clear any data it might store during a private browsing session, helping to keep your history private.
Another beautiful User interface for mobile by TAT, experimental but displaying information in beautiful ways is a huge challenge! Look in to the above video, you will know why i am speaking about it 😉 Day by day data visualization is getting big in picture and many ways to look around them. Here we also need to put our thoughts on how we can make complex things simple to the user. It doesn’t matter what technologies we are using it ultimately final user experience matters a lot.
“We are used to busy idle screens. Information such as missed calls, received messages, widgets on top of your customizable background wallpaper is all trying to get your attention. This is a new take where we go from very precise information to the idle screen as an entity, an abstract map of information. The idle screen will paint and evolve during the day and once you’ve learned its language you will get a whole lot of information just by giving it a glance.”
Adobe is working on couple of new upcoming phones under open screen project like Palm Pre, Motorola Droid and Google Nexus One with the power of Adobe flash player 10.1.
Some important snippets are:
“At CES, Palm demonstrated Flash content in the browser on a Palm Pre. Palm’s press release states that developers can expect to download a free Adobe Flash Player 10.1 plug-in from the Palm App Catalog in the coming months. Palm webOS will be one of the first mobile platforms to support the full Flash Player in the web browser. Here you can check out a quick demo by Adrian Ludwig showing various Flash games from Armor Games and Miniclip.com on a Palm Pre.”
“Consumers demand that the same high-quality Web experience they know from the desktop port easily to their mobile experience as well,” said Sanjay Jha, co-CEO of Motorola and CEO of Motorola Mobile Devices. “Working with Adobe to bring rich Flash content to our smartphone portfolio will revolutionize how consumers experience the mobile Web by making it more vivid and interactive than ever before.”
“Flash is an integral part of the Web and delivers rich content, applications and videos to millions,” said David Wadhwani, vice president and general manager, Platform Business at Adobe. “By working with us to bring virtually all Flash content on the Web to its devices, Motorola is ensuring consumers have an uncompromised Web browsing experience no matter where they are.”
Google also announced their new Nexus One. As part of the Open Screen Project, Adobe’s working with Google to make sure that the Nexus One will have Flash Player 10. It’s got a very powerful 1 GhZ chip made by Qualcomm, so you’ll be able to play a ton of games, watch video, and browse other Web content built with Flash. We’re still working on the finishing touches so Flash Player 10.1 isn’t available publicly yet, but we’ll deliver it over the air to existing phones once it’s available. In the meantime, I thought you might like to see this video of some examples Flash content running on this great new phone.”

Tons of weather app out there and if you like to get notice you definitely need to design with the fresh approach with beautiful User Interface. Outside is just beautiful in terms of impeccable attention in visual design as well as interaction design. When i saw first time there video have one words, wow! I really love this 🙂
Their human-centric approach manifests itself mostly in the importance they place on user-defined notifications based on certain conditions. What’s so wonderful about this is that this is the kind of stuff that you really care about 90% of the time – weather changes that will affect your behavior. via everydayux
This conceptual video is a corporate collaborative research project initiated by Bonnier R&D into the experience of reading magazines on handheld digital devices. It illustrates one possible vision for digital magazines in the near future. Quite interesting!!
Dale’s posted a new sneak peak video of the new features in Adobe Device Central CS5.Few important thing as collected from scott:
ADC is not just for mobile phones, it also supports other devices such as those that are in the Adobe Digital Home realm (e.g. TV’s, set top boxes).
Supports community sharing of profiles. Community, Private, and Adobe Certified are all different types of profiles a developer can be using now, as well as sharing with other developers during project development.
Accelerometer for testing against devices that support that sensor.
GPS sensor panel.
Multi-touch panel.
“Dockable UI†just like in other CS products (e.g. Flash). Workspaces are also supported.
Fireworks is now part of the ADC work-flow (BTW: Fireworks is being picked up for mobile design across various device platforms, even iPhone!).
I am impressed with the new features and how augmented reality is taking place in our daily life, just not only for browsing information’s but also from trying new dresses to getting your new hair style done!, another very recently Google also released Google Goggles, a visual search app for Android phones. it’s just couple of examples but you can think of as many ideas you can!
Go through the above video examples of augmented reality in real time, you will see how it makes your life easy. 🙂
